Facing a dated website hampering user experience and revenue, I steered the redesign of esports.gg, the central hub for gaming and esports.

Through collaborative efforts, user research, and clear goals (enhanced usability, ad revenue, and engagement), we crafted a solution that's already showing promise: increased time on site, lower bounce rate, and growing monthly visitors. This ongoing project underscores my ability to lead design, foster collaboration, and deliver user-centric solutions with measurable impact.

A data-driven revamp began with uncovering the pain points. User surveys exposed the existing site's struggle with providing a clear vision and intuitive navigation. Engaging and retaining users became our guiding principles.

Time was of the essence. Key metrics like bounce rate, time on site, and monthly visitors demanded swift action. Leveraging our established design system and tailoring it to esports.gg's brand identity fueled a rapid-fire redesign process. Instead of traditional low-fidelity wireframes, I jumped straight to user surveys and high-fidelity mockups, prioritizing speed. This allowed for early feedback on crucial areas like the homepage and article experience before diving into development. Quick iterations based on user engagement helped refine the design, leading to the final experience you see today. While some traditional steps were streamlined, the urgency and tight timeline necessitated a more agile approach.

The redesigned esports.gg is already showing promising results, highlighting the effectiveness of our user-centric approach. Users are clearly engaging more deeply, as evidenced by the increased time on site from 1 minute to 2 minutes.

It's important to note that the redesigned esports.gg is still under development, with further enhancements planned. However, these early metrics paint a clear picture of success, demonstrating the power of collaborative design and data-driven decision-making. We are confident that this ongoing project will continue to elevate esports.gg, solidifying its position as the premier destination for esports enthusiasts worldwide.

The "product trio" – myself, the Product Owner, and the Engineering Lead – operated as a tightly synchronized unit. From crafting the design brief to navigating feature kickoffs, sprints, releases, and reviews, our collaboration remained seamless. This synergy ensured a unified vision and smooth execution, paving the way for a design-driven transformation.

Leveraging the company's design system for consistency and scalability, I spearheaded the redesign. Key improvements included a revamped search function for effortless article discovery, a dedicated section showcasing trending games to keep users hooked, intuitive navigation for seamless platform exploration, and a responsive design for optimal viewing across all devices, ensuring accessibility for every user.
